Jacobin (Kyle Riggs)
"It is all just for the good of the Revolution". That is what I keep telling the people who are questioning the actions taken against the prisoners. The Revolution is all that matters. Those people were threats to all of our past and future success. If a few innocent people must die to save the Revolution, so be it. What are a few lost lives, when compared to the great many that we will help by completing this revolution. The vast majority of the people killed were clergy and nobility. These people deserved no less than what they got. They have been starving thousands of men and women, just like me so that they can benefit for themselves. Well, it's time for revenge, I say! We can no longer sit idly and allow this to continue. Those attacks were only the first of many!

Imprisoned Noblemen/Clergy (Braden Fleming) - How would you like it if it was your life and all of your friend's on the line. Every time one of your men walk by my cell my heart beats harder and harder, and every time they walk back by my cell they are pulling another man to his misery. You are not just killing a few innocent people, you are killing hundreds.
ReplyDeleteEven if those nobles and clergy were threats to the Revolution, isn't it enough that they are kept imprisoned? There is no need to punish them all with death. By doing so, you are turning half of the people of France into ruthless barbarians, and greatly unnerving the other half with your acts of terror. You are simply missing the point of the revolution. How can we create a new France based on liberty and equality if the actions of the revolution are motivated by revenge?

(John Locke) The Revolution? Your aim is the good of the Revolution? What is the Revolution if not the people who want change? You have not given anyone a chance. At this rate, the Revolution will be a ghost, ideals without anyone to push them forward. How can one better the lives of many if those many are lying slaughtered?
ReplyDeleteJacobin (Sarah Schumacher) Yes my fellow Jacobin this is very true. The people do not understand that these deaths will soon be for the benefit of us all! If we can save a thousand men for the loss of one-go for the death of one! Humanity thrives off of death. We must celebrate these massacres. They will be the end of the Revolution!
