King George III (Michael Kowalski)

Greetings my loyal and, for some of you, disloyal subjects. I realize that this revolution in Haiti has sparked some conflict. TRIANGLE! I must assure all of you that this was just only a fluke. How could a slave colony with only the ability to farm, fight back against Napoleon the Dreaded. They only way this could have happened is that they had the power of their pagan gods with them. MONKEY FLAVORED ICE CREAM! The rest of the Council and I will not allow this to happen again in anywhere else. So all you "revolutionaries" out there, please come to your senses. Donde esta el banyo? I swear to all of you that return that I will not give you a long and painful death of hanging from the London Bridge. (Evil Laughter)

I love my country. My patriotism can match up against nearly anyone in France. However, when I hear you speak I feel deep pity for the people toiling under your incompetent thumb. You say that the Haitian revolution was a fluke. You say that the only thing that allowed success was divine intervention. That could not be any farther from the truth. You describe slaves as if they are sheep. They are human beings and just as much so as you or me. Humans as a species (including slaves) feel emotion more than nearly any other species in the world. Our passion can drive us to incredible feats. It was this passion that ignited in Haiti. They recognized the supreme injustice that was being done to them. They let their anger stir inside of them, until it came bubbling up in a burst of rage. And thus, they changed the way their society works. They coerced the beast that is change out of its cave by doing absolutely everything necessary to achieve their goal. There was no fluke. There was no divine intervention. It was simply an example of the power of human emotion. Feel free to blind yourself with the idea that this cannot happen again. However, while you are blinded, another oppressed population will rise up. There are injustices everywhere. All that prevents a revolution is a lack of organization and a belief in oneself. Give oppressed people success stories from France and America, and the passion begins to build. You are one, very hated man. They are thousands of very passionate people. Ignore rights and oppress them and revolution will follow, no matter the setting. Soon, you are hanging from London Bridge while those you threatened look down in satisfaction. Beware the power of the people.
