Napoleon (Brooke Anderson)

The Haitian Revolution is not a good thing. With all of the riots and revolts happening down there we are not getting the sugar we need. We bought Haiti so that we could get more money from the profits they make off of sugar. However, now the people are not doing their job. Why do they think they can just revolt? They are needed to help keep out country making money. Do they nor understand that what they do affects everyone in the country of France?  I would do anything to make sure that this doesn't happen again. The Revolution ended in the abolition of slavery, however they will not be independent. I will make sure of that.

    Napoleon,

You were part of the reason why all the revolutions started to occur. You showed the Latin American countries that Spain was too weak of a country to control them after you attacked Spain. Beside thinking of ways to make money, find ways to improve life for the people. If you want to make money, find ways to make it fairly. The poor slaves that were making sugar for you lived in horrible conditions. They deserve the independence. It's time for them to live their lives well. Try making a deal with Haiti on the sugar. For once, think, make a plan, and do it.

That is what revolution always does! It makes more problems, and you are one of the reasons for it. Ever since you attempted to conquer almost every country in the continent of Europe, revolution has spread like wildfire! Instead of making sure Haiti cannot be independent, make sure no other countries rebel. Haiti isn't that important. Just grant them want they want, and move on. Take care of France first! Our economy is weak and our ways need to change. Fix that first, and everything else will take care of itself.

I completely disagree. Revolution was the best way to go involving the slavery issue in Haiti. The people living in Haiti have their own rights. The abolition of slavery was a good outcome to the revolution. I believe that the slaves should be independent and free. They should be as equal as us. Overall, I disagree with your statement, and I believe that the revolution was a successful and good idea.
