Liberty, Equality, & Fraternity- Voltaire (Eleanor Fulghum)

(Voltaire)
During such times that we are in, none of us can afford to turn back to living in a society of order, security, and efficiency! In my eyes it is almost a laughing matter for people to question whether these values are more important than the liberty that us people deserve, the equality that we were born with, and the fraternity that we must have! It is almost as funny as thinking that the Catholic Church should be incorporated with state control. Ha! We as human beings were born with such undeniable rights and freedoms, it is only in our nature to acquire such liberties of liberty, equality, and fraternity! If people may choose to believe that a society that presses on rights will be more efficient that one of freedom, I will simply stick my nose up at you (purely because it is my right to do so). In addition to being so blind, citizens like you and I will lose just about any freedoms that we had before the idea of a revolution came around, meaning that efficiency will start to overrule our independent freedoms! Not only will this spur tyranny, but it will also help those ghastly monarchs gain even more of our power! Ugh! It is unbelievable that we as citizens could find trouble in such a simple question! To keep things simple, we need to express liberty, equality, and fraternity much more than order, security, and efficiency! Seriously people, these our rights that we are talking about here!

Those freedoms, that allowed liberty, and the uprisings they create will never let the government be at a standstill of peace. Your views are unwise to think that you can get away with such a free country. Every true leader knows you cannot have a strong, peaceful government along with all the freedoms you wish to ensure because the people will always ask for more and someone will always disagree. In communist Russia, all defiance acts from the people result in death, which is how we are so powerful and rebel free.

  2. How could one ever argue that brotherhood is inimportant to society? You ignorant dictator! Who are you to argue, when you were one of the most evil men to ever live? Keep your false opinions to yourself. I agree with Voltaire. FRATERNITY MUST LIVE ON!

  3. I completely agree with you, the Revolution itself started because of order, security and efficiency. So its beyond me to think that someone would choose those three when we can have liberty, equality and fraternity. These are the things the people want and its the whole purpose of the Revolution, to make everyone equal.
