Woman (Ryan Teng)

Order or Liberty, you ask? It's not a hard decision...
In these days of chaos, the only thing that can stop the people from devouring each other is order. Unfortunately, our government has gone haywire, the people have turned into blood thirsty monsters, and I still don't have any money or food feed my starving children, which is odd, because that's what I was fighting for in the first place. This revolution has solved nothing at all, except to put a few power hungry nitwits in control of the government. Now they just cover their own backs while the people sit under the shadow of the guillotine afraid and STILL starving. It just isn't worth it anymore. I just want to be able to say what I want to say and not have to fear who's sitting behind me and listening in. I just want to be able to sleep through the night without having to fear uncertainty of whether or not I have the liberty to live tomorrow. I just want peace, and some food to feed my children with. They're starving. We're all dying. I've had enough of this "revolution." Please...just bring back some order into my life.

Peace only comes from order, efficiency, and security. You cannot allow too much liberty, as then governments will never be at peace. Look at America! Those people argue to argue! Soviet Russia was the most powerful and stable governments there was because of our ability to keep all in order and in line. Anyone who misleads others in a wrong way in which portrays our government poorly is killed instantly. Thank you for agreeing with me on such an easy decision.

  2. I do not know much about you or your country, as I am just a peasant women from France, but I believe our circumstances are different. You use "order" to bring suffering and cruelty upon your people, our order is to stop the death of the French people. You use order as an excuse to gain power and torture the people, while our order is to restore the peace we need in order to be happy again. I do not agree with your "order."

My good Sir, I would like to simply point out that thou art using my method of thanks as a weapon, and I would implore thou to cease the use of my method, and I thank you in advance.

You selfish witch! You only care about your family? What about the rest of the people in France? They ALL deserve natural rights. People WILL rebel. People WILL fight. There WILL be no order unless liberty and equality is obtained by everyone. Stop whining and do something to actually instill liberty in all, because the longer you "wait" for peace, the more people will die. Stand up for your people and do something!

Locke, my amicable associate, you do not seem to understand. They tried to rebel and hundreds of thousands died as a result. To be so selfish, as to want rights for yourself at the expense of her safety, is a condemable act. Also I would wish to bring to everyone attention that, you are sounding quite cruel. Are you sure every one deserves right? What's to stop you from murdering this poor peasant in rage? Order that's what is. And I bid all the 3rd party views of this blog, a good nights rest, as I myself am a bout to retire. Oh, and John i almost forgot to thank you for proving my time standing philosophy once again.

    2. You are still as funny as I imagined, Thomas. You try so hard to prove me wrong, but we clearly know who is right here. The younger and brighter me. You state these women tried to rebel and thousands of people died. Does that mean they failed?
Why would they fail? If these rebels had the will and heart to strive for liberty and equality so much, they would have won. Let me provide you with an example. The 54th regiment during the American Revolution showed so much bravery and devotion. They fought alongside their leader, dying for the greater good and a chance at receiving equality. Now what does this have to do with the French Revolution, you may ask? Well, the French Revolution was modeled after the American Revolution. It seems clear from the past history from the American Revolution that people who rebel fight for reasons of equality and liberty. What can be more important than that? If the French Revolution is modeled after the American Revolution, then wouldn't the goals of the French Revolution be to strive for liberty and equality?
On to a different topic, you say that I sound cruel. That may be your opinion, friend, but others may see this as the most wonderful pep talk in history!
Order is what stops me from murdering poor peasants in rage, but it is just a tool for liberty! There will always be instance of people violating the right to life, but order and security is just a tool to prevent it. The bigger picture (although you may not be able to see it) is liberty for everyone. Liberty and equality will prevent much more massacres than order and security ever will.

I hope you have a good night's rest. Maybe you should retire for much longer than a night. It is clear that you are not at this level.. -- excuse me, MY level of reasoning yet. Have a good night, old fellow.

John, my colleague, it pains me to hear such cruelty. I thought you had rose above nature and left behind the sinfulness but clearly not. Using the French Revolution, as a fitting example, what did the rebellion archive in the end? Essentially nothing. Countless life's lost all for a chance at liberty thinking it was a better choice over order. The hundreds of thousands deaths show the pointlessness and consequences of pursuing liberty over security. Also I would like to conclude that with a age comes wisdom and that you should respect your elders. Oh and before I forget, I almost forgot to remind you that the 54th regiment was during the civil war, which was post Revolution. Be certain of your facts...

    4. I am ashamed that I typed Revolutionary War instead of Civil War. Forgive me, old friend. However, again, I need to prove your stubbornness! You are saying that the whole French Revolution was for nothing? I can assure you many things came out of the French Revolution. Although these things do not have to be physical, experience is one of the most important things to come out from the French Revolution. Experience adds to the wisdom of someone, as you so kindly put, "with age comes wisdom." Stop being such a conservative! The world is changing and you have you admit it! Change is occurring and we must embrace it. This French Revolution set examples for so many other revolts and rebellions that took place, which helped many countries gain their own independence. How dare you say that nothing came out of the French Revolution? Again, I am sorry for my mistake on the 54th regiment. However, it did prove my point, did it not?

    5. The argument could be made that, the Revolution did not inspire the other Europeans, but we did. We who sought to go against the grain and think independent from manipulation. Yes change is inevitable, but so are many things and the only solution is to prologue the end result. One such thing? Death. What do we life for but to die in the end? The pessimistic thought is quite true and a ripe example ready to be used in the philosophical war which we are waging. Do we rush to death, throwing safety into the wind, like a discarded candy wrapper? No! We preserve life and drag out dying till we can't hold on any longer. This is why your change is not always good. The Conservative side, however promotes this preservation and turns it I to prosperity.

My dear Hobbes, how could you be so right! I have never agreed more with your philosophies more then this moment. The people need a strong leader in place, this revolution has been simply absurd! Ever since I first took the thrown I have always been interested in your enlightened thinking. I have obviously caught you at a bad time as you are about to retire. Being retired is a good life, I guess.
    Farewell Hobbes!

  7. Mr. Member of the Royal Family, you clearly have the wrong role model. Pick your role models wisely, or else your head will be stuck in status quo along with old Hobbes while the rest of the world is progressing. I wish you good luck in the future.
